IBM taking expressions of interest now for new roles
Unitec is gearing up now to help our current students take full advantage of a large wave of Call Centre Support roles at the IBM Delivery Centre. Expressions of interest for these roles are being taken now by IBM, and the roles will start in October or November this year.
Please encourage your students to express their interest by applying online at https://jobs3.netmedia1.com/cp/faces/job_summary?job_id=GPSD-0600668
The roles will provide customer support to one of IBM’s major key clients - the world’s number one producer of tablets, mobile phones and MP3 players.
Students from all areas of study are welcome to apply. To be successful with their expression of interest, students must have an up-to-date CV to submit with their application, and will possess the following key attributes:
Experience working in a customer service OR call centre environment
Exceptional communication skills over the telephone, and good typing skills
Feel comfortable learning technical concepts and explaining these to customers in basic terms
Experience in turning disgruntled, unhappy customers into very satisfied customers
Robust problem-solving skills
Experience working with computers
A positive “can-do” attitude
Please encourage your students to go to https://jobs3.netmedia1.com/cp/faces/job_summary?job_id=GPSD-0600668 now with IBM. All current students have been emailed this link already, so a reminder in class to check their emails for this information would be a great help.
More support for students is also readily available with our new series of Student Preparation Workshops at http://www.unitec.ac.nz/news-events/ibm-delivery-centre/career-support.cfm. These workshops are being hosted by our Unitec Career Centre staff in conjunction with IBM, to help students prepare for the application and interview processes for these roles - click http://www.unitec.ac.nz/news-events/ibm-delivery-centre/career-support.cfm for more information.
