The University Entrance Standard for 2015
You will be qualified for entrance to New Zealand universities in 2015 if you have obtained:
NCEA Level 3
Three subjects - at Level 3, made up of:
14 credits each, in three approved subjects
Literacy - 10 credits at Level 2 or above*, made up of:
5 credits in reading
5 credits in writing
Numeracy - 10 credits at Level 1 or above*, made up of:
Achievement standards – specified achievement standards available through a range of subjects, or
Unit standards - package of three numeracy unit standards (26623, 26626, 26627- allthree required).

To be admitted to the University of Auckland you must gain the University Entrance Standard and be selected into a programme.
2015 admission requirements
You must meet the admission requirements for your programme(s) of study.
In addition to achieving university entrance, some of our undergraduate programmes require you to have taken specific subjects and gained minimum credits in certain subjects. Some programmes have other requirements such as a portfolio, audition and/or interview.
The table below shows the rank scores required for guaranteed entry in 2015, specific subject and credit requirements and any other requirements you need for admission and selection into the University of Auckland’s undergraduate programmes.

2015 rank scores, subject, credit and other requirements
These are the undergraduate programme admission requirements for school leavers who have achieved University Entrance.
This table indicates the rank score, subject/credit requirements and other requirements that will guarantee you admission to your programme in 2015.
If you achieve the University Entrance Standard but do not achieve a rank score that will guarantee selection into the programme you wish to study, your application will be given individual consideration if places are available.
